The Tiered Oasis is a project that easily draws attention and declares its strong existence in our growing portfolio. The design represents an attempt to respond to the surrounding green neighborhood and create spaces that are easily accessible physically and visually to the outside. While we embrace a constant strive for contextual design, this project conveys a fusion of contemporary and traditional elements softened through a monochromatic material palette and warmth of wood highlights. The floor plan presents a c-model with all livable areas facing the front yard and the open-counter forms the courtyard of the house which acts as a divide between the utilities and main spaces. The master bedroom features a private sit out and garden space making it a haven for relaxation. The stone cladding among a few exterior walls are continued to the interiors in the main living areas providing visual continuity between the inside and outside. The materials selected generate a rustic appearance and the neutral palette helps to enhance the greenery by creating a tranquil experience. The bedrooms, living, dining and kitchen have French doors or large windows thus maximizing natural light inside. Hence, upon entry, one feels that the nature is brought into the interiors incessantly being focused on an experience of connecting oneself with the surrounding. The kitchen has a modern look with the new backsplash turned ledge running along one of the long counters and large island. It’s a clean decluttered space with ample storage and display cabinet to keep the countertops free of mess. The upper floor has a home theatre and a bedroom which adds to the recessed linear volume in the elevation. The simple furniture combines wood, metal and leather finishes that illustrate a luxurious outlook. The site’s rich landscape offers privacy for the residents and acts as a visual treat by embracing the white facade. The roof overhangs in white appears to float lightly above the mass of the house protecting the walls and interiors from harsh sunlight and rain by reducing direct exposure. As nature wraps the new built, the project embraces the concept of “time-honored sophisticated living in comfort” prioritizing intentional simplicity and providing essential luxury while developing a homely atmosphere.
